I dropped my phone last night and the battery fell out, nothing particularly scary about that. But when I woke up this morning, Google Maps was crashing regularly, giving me the following message: “Sorry! The application Maps (process com.google.android.apps.maps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.” This happened with a frequency of about two minutes. To fix it, I entered the Android Application Manager and cleared all the Google Maps data. Clearly, some data got corrupted and the app couldn’t handle it. I guess they have forgotten to put an exception check in there, somewhere.
